Take a look at the florist business. First there were independent flower shops all over across America. There was a great need to refer customers to flower shops in other cities. There was a need to have a name that stood for quality assurance. Most important, the flower shops needed professional marketing.

Until FTD, most florist were excellent at their chosen profession, but did not have the time or skills to produce colorful brochures, print advertising and special packages including unique accessories to sell in their stores.So along came FTD (Florists' Transworld Delivery) in 1910, which became a household word. Even today, FTD is the worlds largest network of florist, bringing together over 20,000 of the worlds best florist.

So you must be wondering, what does this have to do with being a massage therapist. Well the answer is simple, Life Coach Marketing, the parent corporation of Life Coach College is starting a new nationwide, marketing program in February 2005. How Will The Program Work!

Once you complete your coach training program at Life Coach College ( approximately 12-16 weeks) you will be ready to open your own Motivational Massage location. The total fee is only $495.( not including your coach training) This is not a franchise. When you are ready to rent your location, we ask that you provide us with photographs to approve the look of the space for a Motivational Massage Center.

Since this is not a massage franchise, you can set your own prices, set your own hours and operate by yourself or with several therapist in your office.

Now comes the benefits of being part of the newest massage marketing concept ever offered to the massage profession. We will provide you with all the printed material you will need to operate your business, including postcards, rackcards, magazines and print advertising. We will assist you in building up your business. Most important, we will hold weekly coaching calls which will be available to all affiliates. Imagine talking on the phone with other Motivational Massage therapist across the country, learning new marketing techniques, sharing your success and discussing your problems. There is no better support group than weekly coaching calls.

Since Motivational Massage will be coast to coast in less than 18 months, you will have a referral network. Imagine now that I have a client that will be moving to Southern California and is looking for a new massage therapist, who would I recommend? If we build this nationwide networking program, we will all have other therapist to refer to.

We will provide each location with a quarterly magazine, promoting your services and natural health. Each magazine will be printed to look like it is designed by you.

Again, like FTD, we will offer a nationwide referral system, including our 800 number so potential clients can call from all over the US to find a local Motivational Massage center in their area.

Most important, at Motivational Massage, we promote 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 week programs. Most clients will return each week for one hour. You can have a full practice in no time with our proven programs.

Why should I join a new program, what if it does not grow as planned?

Good question? My only answer is, what happens if you pass on the opportunity and then it really takes off like we project. There you will be in your home town, on your own, with no nationwide affiliation. Sure you might do fine, but you will always wonder how well you would have done if you had joined the newest massage marketing program ever offered to the massage profession.

How many Motivational Massage locations do you plan?

There is no secret number, but in order to make this program efficient, we are hoping to get 100 locations signed up in less than 18 months.

Will you be holding conferences?

As planned, we will start holding yearly conferences in 2006. We are really excited about this new program.

How will the Life Coaching work?

Life Coaching is a natural alternative to traditional mental health practitioners. Life Coaches never diagnose, they only assist clients to explore the dynamics that make up their lives. Basically they help the client gain clarity. I like to say they assist the client to find out if they are seeing the problem accurately and not using an old, outdated learned behavior to solve the current problems in their life. Most clients seek life coaches to assist them in setting goals and reaching them faster and easier.

How did you come up with this idea?

Simple, as a massage therapist, I know the problems associated with running your own office or clinic. First you have to deal with renting a location, many landlords frown on massage therapist as tenants. Then you have to explain to everyone that you run a ethical business. Then you set up shop and open your doors to find no clients. Now what?

So you ask around and everyone tells you to advertise, but the cost of advertising is expensive, when people call, they do not know what you offer, many are looking for less than ethical massages. That is frustrating in itself.

Then you decide to go out and market face to face. So you need brochures, unless you are a graphic artist, designing a brochure is difficult and often does not work.

Now you are open and starting to build up a client base, you book appointments back to back, your arms and legs are tired each day, you are exhausted, burned out and start to become disillusioned with the profession. Guess what, I can understand.

So the secret is by integrating Life Coaching with your current massage routine, you are now talking and listening to your clients either before or after the massage, which allows you time to sit down and use your mind and not your body.

So here I was visiting my family in Florida and I opened the phone book, there is now over 5 pages of massage therapist. Everything from medical massage to oriental body rubs. Actually, I did not know which therapist were ethical and which ones were not. If I was looking for a therapist, who do you trust. If there had been a national brand on that list of therapist, I am sure I would have called them first.

I considered offering franchises, but most massage therapist and life coaches are creative. It is very hard to franchise creative people. Do you want someone telling you how to run your business? At McDonalds, they tell their franchisees what to wear, how to smile, how to talk, how to clean the tables, they control everything that goes on in that restaurant. I could not see massage therapist or life coaches wanting something like that.
