| The future of Life Coaching. For years we have heard about the growth of the life coaching profession. Since Thomas Leonard, the founder of life coaching passed away a few years ago, coaches all across the world want to know what is the future of life coaching. Now I do not have a crystal ball to predict the future, but I have a great deal of experience in the coaching profession. While it is true that the coaching profession has grown tremendously in the past 10 years, I believe the profession is still in its infancy. During the past 10 years, we have seen many brilliant coaching professionals design coaching skills, programs and styles. This has been a time for exploration and development. The next ten years will be a time for implementation. On a personal level, I think coaching will take on a new meaning, it will resemble a lifestyle. I think the " coaching lifestyle" will be the future. People will learn new ways of thinking, better methods to resolve problems and new skills to build stronger relationships. It will be a way of life, not a new tool. I think coaching will be delivered in many new ways. I see coaching television shows, where the host teaches and discusses these new coaching methods. I envision workshops and seminars dedicated to " whole body" where topics will range from coaching to nutrition, from career to family. These one & two day workshops will be attended by couples looking for a better way of life. Most important, I see coaching becoming mainstream. People who are facing problems will hire a coach without a second thought. Life coaching will be as common as hiring a real estate professional to sell your house. I think there will be wellness centers all across America where people will go for many different modalities, including massage, reflexology and life coaching. These centers will be as common as nail salons are today. You will be able to make an appointment and go in and explore the dynamics that make up your life. Imagine, going in stressed, upset, worried and tired, leaving a few hours later, refreshed, energized and ready to tackle the world. Life coaching is quickly becoming a household word. People all across America are turning to coaching as a alternative to traditional problem solving. Coaching is so much more than just setting goals and reaching them. Coaching is an alternative method to uncovering the dynamics that make up our life. We assist the client to see what's holding them back and motivate them to reach for the sky. Most clients who have experienced coaching report that their experience with a life coach was far more valuable than they had originally hoped. Most clients report they would suggest coaching to their friends and family.
