In
the Coaching profession, some people use the term Personal Coaching
and Life Coaching interchangeably. This is not really the case. A Life
Coach looks at the "whole picture", your family, job, spouse, friends,
house, marriage even the family vacation.
A
Personal Coach works with his or her client and things that directly
effect the client. A personal usually works just with the client and
his or her personal feelings, dreams, goals. A Personal Coach generally
does not look at the clients family, house, or business.
Many
clients that are in the corporate world and just need help with their
own problems and detours hire a Personal Coach.
At
Life Coach College, we train coaches to be knowledgeable in all areas
of coaching, then during the last few weeks the Mentor Coach works
with the student to focus on the field the student wants to pursue.
Many
coaches actually practice in more than one area. I know coaches that
are Executive and Personal Coaches. Some are Personal and Career Coaches.
You decided when you are studying at LCC which category you wish to
practice in. You can be Registered in more than one category.
